HI Sam,Erin and Tony!
I'm always so happy to see all the great progress Sam is making, and all the hard work you do supporting him.You all serve as a great sorce of modovation.
I my self was diegnosed with a miner TBI(and somthing called Chiari-Malformation) a few months ago, after my left side went (and remains)numb. need less to say things have been challeging at times, but I try to follow Sams example.
I will have a minor brain surgery on augest first to try and improve things, but one way or another a TBI,PTST,or "Chiari" are not going to keep me down.I,like Sam will contine to get better, with God's help, and the support of my Wife, family, and frends!
Thank you for all you've done, and continue to do! Doc Hansen

I am a friend of Karen Holt who is one of the manager's at Campus Commons Senior Community. She gave me a bracelet with Sam's name on it and each night before going to bed I say a special prayer for Sam's recovery. Sam is doing well (I read his blog frequently) and the last picture of Sam brushing his hair was so wonderful. I am looking forward to the day Sam will walk into our facility and say hello! Keep making progress Sam, you and Erin have a great future ahead of you.

As of today Sam is back in room 129. The bacteria that bought him a private room is gone and a new patient with a different bug came in today, kicking Sam back to his old room. It's not bad, but he was able to rest a lot better without a roomate.
Sam had a very verbal day today. during his mid-day break, i asked him what he wanted to do and he said,"go to sleep." I think this was the first phrase he said without repeating after me. I've stared asking him open-ended questions instead of yes and no, and he's really stepping it up. i'm able to understand more and more of what he's saying, and his voice is coming out more and more. He sounds like a frog. he's so cute.
